Tommaso Lamma – The Dynamics of Pattern Formation

Tommaso is one of the PhD students involved in the Resilience project. His project aims at a more unified understanding of reaction diffusion equations with multiple diffusivity scales, from the destabilization of invading fronts in spatial ecosystems to the formation of fingering patterns. Previous to this project he graduated in theoretical physics at the University of Amsterdam writing a project on field theoretical methods for stochastic corrections to deterministic reaction diffusion equation. His interests are vague and broad and extend to other disciplines from Biology and Ecology to Logic and Artificial Intelligence.
